[Euphoria]

I’ve had a lovely last few days. I’ve spent a lot of those last few days up the coast with my dad, with minimal computer usage and lots of walking on the beach, which is nice. Well, it’s not really a beach, (even though technically it is,) it’s more like a mudflat made of sand. If that makes any sense at all.

I’ve also discovered a downloader for one of my favourite wallpaper sites, which means that I don’t have to use some silly HTTP grabber or whatever to download wallpapers in bulk… I can instead do it in the background, which is very handy. It also means I don’t have to pick and choose off the Internet, I can have them all local and pick which one I want.

I’ve also discovered that I get some awfully weird and wonderful spam (as you could probably tell by the previous post). I’m not sure what to make of it really. It’s like I’m getting lots of comments, but they aren’t really very useful or thoughtful (in fact, they are all automated). Oh well, any comment is a comment, whether good or bad.

I’m still looking for applications for OS X, too, and hopefully free ones (but I do have my ways). I’ve also been looking at the iOS app store and it really makes me want an iPhone 4S… even though I still have a Galaxy S2. The problem would be finding somebody to sell that to.

[Imminence]

It’s so close now. I can taste it. Or smell it. Or something. I don’t know.

I get some amazing spam comments on this blog. Some of them include:

“Normally I’m against klliing but this article slaughtered my ignorance.”

It certainly did, didn’t it.

“That’s a genuinely impreissve answer.”

Some genuinely ‘impreissve’ spam.

“I think you hit a bullseye there flleas.”

This one I just do not get. Like, at all.

“You put the lime in the coocunt and drink the article up.”

And no I did not just make up that one. I think they meant coconut…

Anyway, bring on 2012. Happy End Of The World, or whatever.

[Aftermath]

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]ell it has most certainly been a very interesting week. It’s been holidays, it’s been Christmas, it’s now Boxing Day, and New Year’s is coming up very soon. In the days leading up to Christmas my family was all very relaxed (mostly). Mum was bugging me to do work stuff (which didn’t bear any fruit) whilst everyone else was relaxing in the pool and stuff… so there was that. But other than that it was a good Christmas, and I ended up with quite a few lovely things.

I got an Apple Keyboard and a few Nintendo 64 games from my dad, which is awesome. I got Mario Tennis, Super Mario 64, and Pokemon Stadium, to add to my collection. I could’ve sworn we used to have Pokemon Stadium 2, but I have no idea where it could be. I also got a bit of money, an iTunes card, and some chocolate (boo-yeah)!

On my mother’s side of the family, I got quite a few things as well. I got some Apple Earphones, more chocolate, some aftershave, another t-shirt, a water pistol, some more money, and the second book in the Game of Thrones series. I can’t wait until I get around to reading it (I still have the first one to finish).

As far as my computer goes I am looking toward getting a new case, and I have a bit of a short-list at the moment… it’s just a matter of determining if Thermaltake plan to release a liquid-cooling version of one of their really nice cases. Other than that, HDD’s are still really expensive and RAM is all designed for Z68 systems now… Who’d've known X58 would be out of date so soon. Oh well, I still have my Hackintosh to keep me happy. A Mac Pro would also be nice, though.

And aside from being a completely materialistic fool, I can’t wait for the Doctor Who Christmas Special 2011, assuming there is minimal reference to Amy & Rory and River. I am sick of those 3. I wish Steven Moffat would do something different. Hopefully he will, but I can’t be sure. All I know is that I will watch it with an open mind; this may be the redeemer for the blasphemous pile of shit that was series 6.

And I think that’s all I have to write about, today. So until next time.

[Glory of a Far Dawn]

[dropcap]I[/dropcap] like to think of words as the key to the imagination, the starter that lights the fire, if you will. Our world is so rich of natural beauty and majesty and yet people also fail to overlook the same majesty and beauty they can create within their own mind.

It has occurred to me that nothing is ever lost. Nothing is ever unwritten from the fabric of space-time, only forgotten in the geas of the mind, left dormant, subject to history and the ever-oppressing weather of the past. No matter how one may believe something is lost, it is never truly.

It is what we choose to do with these remnants and fragments that defines us as individuals. One who is humble in their remembrance and at one with their past will never truly be burdened by the sadness of their first years, or those before, and those before them, threading back to the dawn of their heritage. One must understand that what is written in the pages of history cannot be unwritten, and we must learn to live with our vices.

Those who are ignorant of history are doomed to repeat it.

And in our eternal everlasting existence we must respect each and every individual’s decision on what they make of their geas, but to never shun or exclude them from the Collective Inheritance that we have been graced with.

The problem with being potential is that one contains multitudes of outcomes, candidates vying to become final personalities, and as the hours and days pass, the strongest rules for a time, until toppled by the even stronger.

You are what you dare.

[Shimmering]

It’s been a long, long week. I’ve been through many, many troubles with my Hackintosh but I think I have finally, finally, finally got it working… maybe. I’m not sure. I’m going to run it for a few more days and if everything is fine then, well, I’m all good. If not then I’m going to have to dig deeper…

What I don’t understand is how booting into verbose mode would solve openGL problems with my GTX 570. It makes absolutely no sense to me how that could possibly work. I was noticing that if I didn’t boot into verbose mode I would get openGL errors (like the screen just goes completely blue) even though I could continue typing and whatnot. It was strange. But then when I booted with -v it all seemed to work. Gah, I don’t understand this shit.

Christmas soon. My wallet still hasn’t forgiven me. I spent about $100 today I think… nah, it was probably more than that. But I don’t want to think about it. I hate spending money… let alone spending it on other people. It’s just annoying… although I still have $400 left on my card… so I’m not completely broke. Yet.
